There are many types of love we can experience during our lives, and I think some of the most sincere love comes from grandmothers. Today I want to share with you about a grandmotherly lady at the special needs orphanage supported by Global Partners in Life.

This lady is small in stature, but a giant in the lives of the children at the orphanage. I have seen her feed the children when they were hungry, and comfort them when they were not feeling well. She meets the needs of the children, both physically and emotionally.

Have You Experienced Grandmotherly Love?

There are a couple of things that are unique about this grandmotherly older lady. When you first see her, you will notice that her hair is wavy, not straight. What you can’t see is that she suffers from a back condition herself. Her husband wants her to stop working at the orphanage, because he believes her picking up children all day has damaged her back, but she says she can’t stop working at the orphanage because she loves the children. I have a tremendous amount of respect for her feelings.

You may wonder why I am writing about this elderly lady today. The reason is that I want people to know when they support Global Partners in Life, we pay the salary for this dear lady who helps the children, even when she is in pain herself.

Believe me, she is not getting rich working at the special needs orphanage — but she is enriching the lives for some of the most needy people I have ever had to honor to know and love!

Have you ever experienced the wonder of grandmotherly love?
